أعلن نادي أياكس أمستردام الهولندي تعاقده مع لاعب الوسط الألماني يوليان براندت في صفقة انتقال حر، بعد انتهاء عقده مع بوروسيا دورتموند، ليحصل على لاعب دولي بخبرة كبيرة دون دفع أي رسوم انتقال.
ووقّع براندت، البالغ من العمر 30 عاماً، عقداً يمتد حتى صيف 2029، في أول تجربة احترافية له خارج ألمانيا، بعدما أمضى معظم مسيرته في البوندسليغا مع باير ليفركوزن ثم دورتموند.
وخلال 7 مواسم مع دورتموند، خاض براندت أكثر من 300 مباراة، وحقق حضوراً بارزاً في خط الوسط، كما ارتدى قميص المنتخب الألماني في 48 مناسبة، لكنه أنهى رحلته مع النادي الأصفر بعد قرار مشترك بعدم تجديد العقد.
ولم يكن رحيل براندت بسبب أزمة أو خلاف، إذ أكد دورتموند تقديره الكبير للاعب، لكن إدارة النادي فضّلت المضي في مشروع إعادة بناء الفريق وتجديد عناصره، خصوصاً مع وصول اللاعب إلى عامه الثلاثين ورغبة النادي في الاستثمار في أسماء أصغر سناً.
كما لعب الجانب الاقتصادي دوراً في القرار، حيث تجنّب دورتموند الالتزام بعقد جديد طويل مع لاعب صاحب راتب مرتفع نسبياً، وفضّل توجيه موارده نحو صفقات مستقبلية.
في المقابل، وجد أياكس فرصة مثالية لضم لاعب يملك خبرة البطولات الأوروبية مجاناً، في صفقة تمنح الفريق الهولندي صانع لعب صاحب رؤية وخبرة، بينما يبدأ براندت فصلاً جديداً خارج ألمانيا للمرة الأولى في مسيرته.
The Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam announced its signing of German midfielder Julian Brandt on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Borussia Dortmund, acquiring an experienced international player without paying any transfer fees.
Brandt, who is 30 years old, signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2029, marking his first professional experience outside Germany, after spending most of his career in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and then Dortmund.
During his 7 seasons with Dortmund, Brandt played over 300 matches and made a significant impact in midfield, also wearing the German national team jersey on 48 occasions, but he concluded his journey with the yellow club after a mutual decision not to renew his contract.
Brandt’s departure was not due to a crisis or disagreement, as Dortmund confirmed its great appreciation for the player, but the club’s management preferred to move forward with a project to rebuild the team and renew its elements, especially with the player reaching his thirties and the club’s desire to invest in younger names.
The economic aspect also played a role in the decision, as Dortmund avoided committing to a new long-term contract with a player who has a relatively high salary, preferring to direct its resources towards future signings.
On the other hand, Ajax found an ideal opportunity to sign a player with European competition experience for free, in a deal that provides the Dutch team with a playmaker who has vision and experience, while Brandt begins a new chapter outside Germany for the first time in his career.
