كشفت مصادر لـ«عكاظ» أن لجنة انتخابات مجلس إدارة الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم قد تضطر إلى استبعاد أكثر من ثلاث قوائم انتخابية، بسبب اشتراط إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية لدى مرشح الرئاسة.
وبحسب المصادر، تعتزم اللجنة إخضاع المرشحين لمقابلات مباشرة ومطولة باللغة الإنجليزية، بعد التعاقد مع معهد متخصص لإجراء الاختبارات وتقييم مستوى المرشحين، في خطوة تستهدف التحقق من جاهزية الرئيس القادم للتعامل مع الملفات الدولية وممثلي الاتحادين الدولي والآسيوي.
وأوضحت المصادر أن عدداً من القوائم تضم نوابًا يتمتعون بإجادة اللغة الإنجليزية، إلا أن الشرط يتركز على مرشح الرئاسة، الأمر الذي قد يدفع بعض القوائم إلى إعادة ترتيب مناصبها أو تغيير مرشحها الأول خلال الساعات القادمة.
وأشارت المصادر إلى أن أسماء بارزة قد تعلن انسحابها الليلة، تفاديًا لاستبعاد القائمة بعد مرحلة التدقيق، خصوصًا مع حساسية معيار اللغة في تحديد أهلية الرئيس.
وتدخل العملية الانتخابية مرحلتها الثانية بفحص قوائم المترشحين خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 7 أغسطس، قبل إعلان القوائم الأولية في 8 أغسطس، فيما تُجرى الانتخابات لاختيار مجلس الإدارة الجديد في 30 أغسطس الجاري.
Sources revealed to “Okaz” that the Saudi Football Federation’s Board of Directors Election Committee may have to exclude more than three electoral lists due to the requirement for proficiency in English for the presidential candidate.
According to the sources, the committee intends to subject the candidates to direct and extended interviews in English, after contracting with a specialized institute to conduct tests and assess the candidates’ levels, in a move aimed at ensuring the readiness of the next president to handle international files and representatives from the international and Asian federations.
The sources clarified that several lists include deputies who are proficient in English; however, the condition focuses on the presidential candidate, which may prompt some lists to rearrange their positions or change their primary candidate in the coming hours.
The sources indicated that prominent names may announce their withdrawal tonight, in order to avoid the exclusion of the list after the verification stage, especially given the sensitivity of the language criterion in determining the president’s eligibility.
The electoral process enters its second phase with the examination of the candidates’ lists from August 2 to 7, before the preliminary lists are announced on August 8, while the elections to select the new board of directors will take place on August 30.
