ابن العاصمة الرياض الذي بدأ مشوار حياته في عالم كرة القدم داخل أروقة نادي الهلال، صاحب الـ48 عاماً، انطلق ركضه من الفئات السنية مع ناشئي وشباب وأولمبي «الزعيم» حتى وصل إلى الفريق الأول، مساهماً في تحقيق بطولات عديدة على الصعيد المحلي خصوصاً، وله عدة أهداف حاسمة وجميلة أبرزها هدفه في مرمى النصر بطريقه مقصيه رائعة، وهدفه الذهبي (الرائع) في مرمى الشباب في اللحظات الأخيرة من مباراة نهائي كأس ولي العهد التي تحصل عليها الهلال.
تدرج فهد المفرج في عدد من المهمات الإدارية بدءاً من مدير الفريق الأولمبي 2012، قبل أن يعيّن مديراً للفريق الأول عام 2013، وصولاً لمنصب المدير التنفيذي لكرة القدم الذي تولّاه عام 2019، إضافة إلى كونه عضواً لمجلس الإدارة لأكثر من فترة.
في المونديال
أعلن الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم تعيين فهد المفرج مديراً تنفيذياً للمنتخبين الأول وتحت 23 عاماً، واستعرض مؤهلاته، مشيراً إلى حمله ماجستير إدارة أعمال كرة القدم، وامتلاكه خبرة واسعة في المجال الإداري للعبة، تمتد لأكثر من 15 عاماً، تدرج خلالها في عددٍ من المناصب الإدارية، وصولاً إلى عمله مديراً تنفيذياً لكرة القدم في الهلال.
وذكّر بتمثيله منتخبات الفئات السنية في عددٍ من المشاركات الدولية وناديي الهلال والاتفاق خلال مسيرته لاعباً، قبل الاعتزال والتوجه إلى العمل الإداري.
شكراً يا زعيم
من جانبه، قدّم فهد المفرج شكره وتقديره لكافة مجالس إدارات نادي الهلال التي عمل تحت مظلتها منذ 2012، مؤكداً أن الدعم والثقة اللذين حظي بهما أسهما -بعد توفيق الله- في تحقيق العديد من المنجزات والبطولات، وقال: «أشكر جماهير الهلال الوفية، وكافة زملائي في الأجهزة الفنية والإدارية واللاعبين، على كل ما حظيت به من دعم وتعاون خلال المراحل الحافلة بالمنجزات، متمنياً التوفيق لنادي الهلال في المرحلة القادمة».
شخص عظيم
المحترف البرازيلي كارلوس إدواردو الذي سبق ومثل «الزعيم» في تجربة احترافية، نشر عبر صفحته الرسمية على «إنستغرام» منشوراً قال فيه: «أحترم وأقدر فهد المفرج كثيراً لدوره المميز والفعال داخل النادي».
وأضاف: «تعلمون أنا لا أنشر كثيراً في «إنستغرام»، لكنني أريد أن أعبّر عن امتناني واحترامي لهذا الرجل، المفرج كان شخصاً عظيماً داخل الهلال، يعرف عقلية النادي واللاعبين، وكان حاضراً في أصعب اللحظات، وكل ما فعله كان بهدف تحسين النادي ومن يعمل فيه».
47 بطولة
يملك فهد المفرج في رصيده البطولي من الإنجازات والصعود لمنصات التتويج 47 بطولة صافية ما بين لاعب وإداري، إذ أسهم لاعباً في تحقيق 23 بطولة مع الفريق الأول، قبل أن يواصل نجاحاته إدارياً بالمساهمة في تحقيق 24 بطولة، ليصل إجمالي ما حققه مع النادي
إلى 47 بطولة لاعباً وإدارياً.
وشهدت مسيرة المفرج الإدارية المساهمة في العديد من المنجزات، أبرزها؛ كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين ست مرات، وكأس ولي العهد مرّتان، والدوري السعودي ست مرات، ودوري أبطال آسيا مرّتان، وكأس السوبر السعودي خمس مرات، وكأس موسم الرياض، وكأس لوسيل، وبطولة العين الدولية، إضافة إلى المشاركة في كأس العالم للأندية أربع مرات.
The son of the capital Riyadh, who began his journey in the world of football within the halls of Al-Hilal Club, at the age of 48, started his run from the youth, junior, and Olympic categories of “the Leader” until he reached the first team, contributing to achieving numerous championships, especially on the local level. He has several decisive and beautiful goals, most notably his stunning bicycle kick goal against Al-Nasr, and his golden (wonderful) goal against Al-Shabab in the final moments of the Crown Prince Cup final that Al-Hilal won.
Fahd Al-Mufarrij progressed through several administrative roles, starting as the manager of the Olympic team in 2012, before being appointed as the manager of the first team in 2013, reaching the position of executive director of football, which he assumed in 2019, in addition to being a board member for several terms.
In the World Cup
The Saudi Football Federation announced the appointment of Fahd Al-Mufarrij as the executive director for both the first and under-23 national teams, showcasing his qualifications, noting that he holds a Master’s degree in Football Business Management and possesses extensive experience in the administrative field of the game, spanning over 15 years, during which he held several administrative positions, culminating in his role as the executive director of football at Al-Hilal.
He reminded everyone of his representation of youth national teams in several international competitions and his time with Al-Hilal and Al-Ittifaq clubs during his playing career, before retiring and moving into administrative work.

For his part, Fahd Al-Mufarrij expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the boards of directors of Al-Hilal Club under which he has worked since 2012, confirming that the support and trust he received contributed – after God’s success – to achieving many accomplishments and championships. He said: “I thank the loyal Al-Hilal fans, and all my colleagues in the technical and administrative staff and the players, for all the support and cooperation I received during the stages filled with achievements, wishing success for Al-Hilal in the upcoming phase.”
A Great Person
The Brazilian professional Carlos Eduardo, who previously represented “the Leader” in a professional stint, posted on his official Instagram page, saying: “I respect and appreciate Fahd Al-Mufarrij a lot for his distinguished and effective role within the club.”
He added: “You know I don’t post much on Instagram, but I want to express my gratitude and respect for this man. Al-Mufarrij was a great person within Al-Hilal, he understands the mentality of the club and the players, and he was present in the toughest moments, and everything he did was aimed at improving the club and those who work in it.”
47 Championships
Fahd Al-Mufarrij has a remarkable record of achievements and titles, totaling 47 championships as a player and administrator. As a player, he contributed to winning 23 titles with the first team, before continuing his successes administratively by contributing to 24 championships, bringing the total he achieved with the club
to 47 titles as both a player and an administrator.
Al-Mufarrij’s administrative career has seen him contribute to many achievements, most notably; the King’s Cup six times, the Crown Prince Cup twice, the Saudi League six times, the AFC Champions League twice, the Saudi Super Cup five times, the Riyadh Season Cup, the Lusail Cup, the Al Ain International Championship, in addition to participating in the FIFA Club World Cup four times.
