أكد مدرب فريق النصر، الأسترالي أنجي بوستيكوغلو، أن فريقه يحتاج إلى «الراحة» أكثر من أي شيء آخر في الوقت الحالي، حتى أكثر من التعاقدات الجديدة، عقب التأهل لدور الـ16 من كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين بالفوز على الدرعية 4-1.
وقال بوستيكوغلو في المؤتمر الصحفي عقب المباراة التي أقيمت على ملعب «الأول بارك»:
«نادي الدرعية حصل على راحة لمدة 4 أيام، بينما كانت راحتنا يومين فقط، والأمور صعبة جداً بالنسبة لنا، ولدينا ثلاث مباريات في ستة أيام»، مضيفاً: «الفرق التي نواجهها تحصل على راحة أكبر منا، وهذا يجعل الأمر أكثر صعوبة علينا».
وأشاد المدرب بأداء لاعبيه رغم الظروف، قائلاً: «اللاعبون كانوا رائعين، والخصم كان صعباً، وارتاحوا 4 أيام، وارتحنا يومين، وتقدموا بهدف مبكر، ولكن عقلية اللاعبين كانت ممتازة في التعامل مع مجريات المباراة».
وكشف بوستيكوغغلو عن معاناة الفريق من الإصابات، مشيراً إلى أنه «لا يزال لدينا لاعبون مصابون لم يلعبوا حتى الآن، ونحتاج إلى الراحة، وبعد يومين سنلعب مباراة، مهما كان حجم الفريق، اللعب في ثلاث مباريات في ستة أيام هو أمر صعب للغاية».
وتطرق المدرب الأسترالي للحديث عن العناصر الشابة في الفريق، مؤكداً: «لا أنظر إلى أعمار اللاعبين، بل أنظر إلى كيف يتأقلمون، ولدينا لاعبون شباب، أؤمن أنهم سيحصلون على فرصة».
كما طمأن جماهير النصر بشأن قائد الفريق، قائلاً: «كريستيانو رونالدو يعمل بشكل كبير وباستمرار، وقريباً سيكون جاهزاً».
وفي ما يخص البطولة الآسيوية، أوضح بوستيكوغلو أنه لم يركز على القرعة، مبيناً: «لم أركز كثيراً على قرعة آسيا، وكان اهتمامي الأكبر منصباً على مواجهة الدرعية، وغداً سأبدأ العمل على البطولة الآسيوية وجدول مبارياتها».
وكان النصر قد قلب تأخره بهدف مبكر إلى فوز عريض 4-1 على الدرعية، بأهداف محمد سيماكان، وجواو فيليكس «هدفين»، وعبدالله الحمدان، ليضرب موعداً في دور الـ16 من كأس الملك.
The coach of Al-Nassr, Australian Ange Postecoglou, confirmed that his team needs “rest” more than anything else at the moment, even more than new signings, following their qualification for the Round of 16 of the King’s Cup after defeating Al-Dhariyah 4-1.
Postecoglou said at the press conference after the match held at “Al-Awwal Park”:
“Al-Dhariyah had a 4-day rest, while we only had two days, and things are very difficult for us, and we have three matches in six days,” adding: “The teams we face have more rest than us, which makes it more challenging for us.”
The coach praised his players’ performance despite the circumstances, saying: “The players were amazing, the opponent was tough, they rested for 4 days, we rested for two days, and they took an early lead, but the mentality of the players was excellent in dealing with the course of the match.”
Postecoglou revealed that the team is suffering from injuries, noting that “we still have injured players who haven’t played yet, and we need rest, and after two days we will play a match, regardless of the size of the team, playing three matches in six days is extremely difficult.”
The Australian coach also talked about the young elements in the team, confirming: “I don’t look at the ages of the players, but rather how they adapt, and we have young players, I believe they will get their chance.”
He also reassured Al-Nassr fans about the team captain, saying: “Cristiano Ronaldo is working hard and continuously, and he will be ready soon.”
Regarding the Asian tournament, Postecoglou clarified that he did not focus on the draw, stating: “I didn’t focus much on the Asian draw, my main concern was the match against Al-Dhariyah, and tomorrow I will start working on the Asian tournament and its match schedule.”
Al-Nassr had turned an early deficit into a resounding 4-1 victory over Al-Dhariyah, with goals from Mohamed Simakan, João Félix (two goals), and Abdullah Al-Hamdan, securing a date in the Round of 16 of the King’s Cup.
