أعلن نادي تشيلسي الإنجليزي، اليوم (السبت)، تعاقده مع المهاجم المخضرم داني ويلبيك، قادماً من صفوف برايتون، خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الحالية.
عقد لمدة عامين
وقال النادي اللندني في بيان عبر موقعه الرسمي: «يسر نادي تشيلسي أن يعلن تعاقده مع داني ويلبيك، إذ وقع عقداً حتى عام 2028، وسينضم إلى قائمة المدرب تشابي ألونسو خلال جولتنا التحضيرية للموسم الجديد».
أول تعليق من ويلبيك
من جانبه، قال ويلبيك: «عندما تسمع عن اهتمام تشيلسي، فإن ذلك يملؤك بفخر عظيم، وبمعرفة تاريخ تشيلسي، فهو نادٍ يريد الفوز بالألقاب ويسعى جاهداً لتحقيق ذلك في كل موسم، يشرفني حقاً الانضمام إلى نادٍ بهذا الحجم في هذا الوقت المثير، أعرف بعض اللاعبين بالفعل، وقد أجريت محادثات رائعة مع المدرب، وأشعر بالفعل بهذا الترابط».
وأضاف المهاجم البالغ من العمر 35 عاماً: «لدي تلك الرغبة الجامحة في داخلي، وأنا مستعد لبذل كل ما في وسعي من أجل هذا النادي، لجعل الجميع في تشيلسي، والمشجعين، فخورين بي».
مسيرة ويلبيك
ويمتلك ويلبيك خبرة كبيرة، إذ شارك في 400 مباراة في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز بقمصان أندية مانشستر يونايتد، وبريستون، وأرسنال، وواتفورد، وبرايتون.
وعلى الصعيد الدولي، مثّل ويلبيك المنتخب الإنجليزي الأول على مدار ثماني سنوات، سجل خلالها 16 هدفاً مع منتخب «الأسود الثلاثة».
The English club Chelsea announced today (Saturday) that they have signed veteran striker Danny Welbeck, coming from Brighton, during the current summer transfer window.
Two-Year Contract
The London club stated in a statement on its official website: “Chelsea is pleased to announce the signing of Danny Welbeck, who has signed a contract until 2028, and will join coach Xabi Alonso’s squad during our pre-season tour for the new season.”
First Comment from Welbeck
For his part, Welbeck said: “When you hear about Chelsea’s interest, it fills you with great pride, and knowing Chelsea’s history, it is a club that wants to win titles and strives to achieve that every season. I am truly honored to join a club of this stature at such an exciting time. I already know some of the players, and I had great conversations with the coach, and I really feel this connection.”
The 35-year-old striker added: “I have that burning desire inside me, and I am ready to give everything I can for this club, to make everyone at Chelsea, and the fans, proud of me.”
Welbeck’s Career
Welbeck has significant experience, having played 400 matches in the Premier League wearing the shirts of Manchester United, Preston, Arsenal, Watford, and Brighton.
On the international stage, Welbeck represented the England national team for eight years, during which he scored 16 goals for the “Three Lions.”
