وأوضح المعهد الفلبيني لعلم البراكين والزلازل أن مركز الزلزال كان على بعد 21 كيلومترًا غرب مدينة مامبوراو وعلى 10 كيلومترات تحت سطح الأرض.
ولم ترد أنباء حتى الآن عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال.
