طالبت ديبي هيويت نائبة رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم ورئيسة الاتحاد الإنكليزي، جياني انفانتينو بالكشف عن جميع الوثائق المتعلقة بخطة بيع حصص تجارية في بطولات كأس العالم للمستثمرين، والتي تم التخلي عنها في شهر أغسطس الماضي.
كما طلبت نشر المستندات المرتبطة بقرار رفع إيقاف المهاجم الأمريكي فولارين بالوغون خلال مونديال 2026. ودعت هيويت إلى إجراء مراجعة مستقلة للملفين، مطالبة بالكشف عن الوثائق قبل اجتماع مجلس فيفا المقرر في 15 شهر أكتوبر.
وكان الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم قد أعلن أن مراجعة الخطة الملغاة ستُعرض على مجلسها. وتأتي مطالب هيويت وسط دعوات من اتحادات قارية ووطنية لمزيد من الشفافية بشأن آلية اتخاذ القرارات داخل الاتحاد الدولي.
Debbie Hewitt, Vice President of FIFA and Chair of the English Football Association, has called on Gianni Infantino to disclose all documents related to the plan to sell commercial shares in the World Cup tournaments to investors, which was abandoned last August.
She also requested the publication of documents related to the decision to lift the suspension of American striker Folarin Balogun during the 2026 World Cup. Hewitt urged for an independent review of both files, demanding the disclosure of documents before the FIFA Council meeting scheduled for October 15.
The International Football Association has announced that the review of the canceled plan will be presented to its Council. Hewitt’s demands come amid calls from continental and national federations for greater transparency regarding the decision-making processes within FIFA.
