The board of directors of Al-Ahly SC issued an official statement following a meeting held under the chairmanship of Mahmoud El-Khatib, and in the presence of a number of the club’s leaders, to discuss the situation of the football team during the past period.
The statement explained that the administration is closely monitoring the sadness and anger of the club's fans as a result of the team's exit from the continental championship, stressing that what has been achieved during the past period does not correspond to the great support that the team enjoys, and does not reflect the club's status and its long history at the local and continental levels.
