Civil Defense: 7 guidelines to protect you from danger when an emergency alarm is triggered
of Civil Defense called for adherence to preventive guidelines in the event of receiving warning messages from the National Early Warning Platform in emergency situations, stressing the importance of following official instructions to ensure safety.
She explained that upon receiving the warning message, one should remain calm, follow the instructions issued by the competent authorities, and immediately go to the nearest safe place inside the buildings, such as an interior room away from windows, and stay there until the danger has passed.

She also stressed the need to stay out of the house or building during the emergency, and to stay away from open areas, glass, balconies and roofs. If outside buildings, one should take shelter inside the nearest building or behind a solid barrier.
She pointed out the importance of avoiding gatherings and taking pictures, staying away from dangerous locations, and stopping on the side of the road away from bridges and tall buildings when receiving a warning while driving.
The Civil Defense stressed the need to contact the relevant authorities when observing any danger, by calling the emergency number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, or the number (998) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.
He called on everyone to follow the instructions issued through the official channels of the relevant authorities to ensure public safety.
