
China ends Green 17's Asian adventure
Japan and China qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 AFC U-17 Championship, currently being held in Jeddah, after winning their quarter-final matches today at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
Japan's under-17 team defeated Tajikistan's under-17 team with a score of (5-0), securing the first qualifying spot for the semi-finals of the tournament.
In the second match, the Chinese under-17 team defeated the Saudi under-17 team with a score of (3-1), to reach the same round.
Japan's under-17 team is scheduled to meet China's under-17 team in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The quarter-final matches will be completed today (Saturday), with Uzbekistan's under-17 team facing South Korea's under-17 team, while Vietnam's under-17 team will meet Australia's under-17 team, to determine the two sides of the second semi-final match.
It is worth mentioning that the final match of the tournament will be held on May 22 in Jeddah.
