The field visits included central markets and retail outlets that witness high purchasing activity, to ensure the needs of shoppers are met in a fair and orderly commercial environment.
Promotions and discounts
Inspectors focused their proactive rounds on verifying that price tags were clearly displayed on products and that they accurately matched the prices recorded at the point of sale.
The inspection teams also scrutinized the validity of promotional offers and seasonal discounts to ensure their legitimacy and prevent consumer deception during this crucial time of year.
Furthermore, inspections extended to shops specializing in the sale of Zakat al-Fitr (charity given at the end of Ramadan) and sweets, guaranteeing the quality of goods and compliance with all regulations governing commercial activity.
Intensive monitoring tours
The Ministry of Commerce confirmed that its intensive inspection tours will continue throughout the Eid holidays to prevent any attempts to exploit the increased demand.
The Ministry stressed that it will not hesitate to take all necessary legal measures against violators to enhance market reliability and protect the rights of all parties.
These actions are part of the Ministry's seasonal plan aimed at raising compliance levels and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services at fair prices for the end consumer.
