
Updating the data of beneficiaries of the Citizen's Account program: Two penalties await those who refuse

According to Article 17 of the regulations governing support provided through the Citizen Account Program, the applicant or primary beneficiary – as applicable – must update their electronic account whenever any changes occur to the information and data they previously entered, and if such changes affect the eligibility and entitlement assessment cycle. This must be done within a period not exceeding fifteen (15) days from the date of the change. Failure to comply will allow the Ministry to take any of the measures stipulated in Article 20 of the regulations.
Article 20 states: “Providing misleading material information, documents, or data, or concealing any material information that must be disclosed under the provisions of the regulations, or circumventing the rules in any way to obtain support, whether in the application for support or otherwise:
- Stopping support for the primary beneficiary and depriving him of receiving support for a period not exceeding (two years)
- Recovering the support he received unlawfully, in accordance with the necessary legal procedures, or taking both actions together.
Steps to add additional income in the Citizen Account program
The Citizen Account Program explained, in a simplified manner, the steps for adding additional income for beneficiaries in the program, which include:
- Log in to the application and select “Beneficiary Profile”.
- Click on “Public Data”.
- Click on “Add a new source of income” at the bottom of the page.
- Choose the source type.
- Add: (Source of income – monthly amount including allowances).
- Finally, press “Save”.

Changing the mobile number in the Citizen Account
The Citizen Account Program explained the steps for changing the mobile number for program beneficiaries, in a simplified manner, which include:
- Accessing the Citizen Account application.
- Click on the “Settings” box at the bottom.
- Click on the icon to change your mobile number.
- Add the new mobile number.
- Enter the verification code.
The mobile number has been successfully changed.
