وأوضحت الشرطة الهندية أن المؤشرات الأولية تشير إلى تسرب مادة كيميائية داخل المصنع في وقت مبكر من صباح اليوم، مما تسبب في اختناق العمال الذين كانوا على رأس العمل، مشيرةً إلى أنه تم نقل المصابين إلى أحد المستشفيات القريبة لتلقي العلاج.
