
Weather forecast: Thunderstorms continue, leading to flash floods
The National Center for Meteorology forecasts continued thunderstorms across the Kingdom on Tuesday, leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail and strong winds in parts of the Eastern Province and Riyadh .

Dust-raising surface winds are also expected in parts of Qassim, Hail, and Al-Jawf .

Surface winds: Northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 20-40 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h towards the Gulf of Aqaba.
Wave height: from one to two meters, reaching two and a half meters towards the Gulf of Aqaba.
Sea state: Moderate waves, reaching rough towards the Gulf of Aqaba.
Arabian Gulf
Surface winds: Northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to northeasterly in the southern part at a speed of 12-42 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds in the central and southern parts.
Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching two and a half meters with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds over the central and southern parts.
Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming rough with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds over the central and southern parts.
Eastern Province weather
The National Center for Meteorology issued weather alert for rain in parts of the Eastern Province on Tuesday .
The rain is expected to begin at 10:00 AM and continue until 11:00 PM.
The alert for light rain includes Al-Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, and Qaryat Al-Ulya .
This rain will be accompanied by active winds, reduced horizontal visibility, and thunderstorms .
Moderate rain is expected in Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, and Abqaiq .
The accompanying effects include strong winds, near-zero visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms .
