وذكرت هيئة الإذاعة اليابانية (إن إتش كيه)، أن مركز الزلزال وقع على عمق 80 كيلومترًا، فيما لم يتم إصدار تحذيرات من احتمال وقوع موجات مد عاتية (تسونامي) جرّاء الهزة الأرضية.
