Jeddah Municipality removed encroachments on government land in the Al-Ajwad neighborhood, within the jurisdiction of the Buraiman sub-municipality, after detecting illegal construction of buildings and shops on the site.
Fahd bin Sharaf Al-Maliki, head of the Buraiman sub-municipality, explained that the municipality discovered the encroachment during its routine inspections. It was found that buildings and shops had been erected on government land belonging to a ministry without proper documentation. He stated that the necessary legal procedures were taken regarding the site, and the violations, covering a total area of ​​74,050 square meters, were removed.

Completion of regulatory procedures

He indicated that the matter has been referred to the State Properties Authority to complete the necessary procedures, as per its jurisdiction. He emphasized that these efforts are part of the Municipality's ongoing work to address encroachments on government lands, enforce regulations, and curb the illegal exploitation of public spaces.
The Jeddah Municipality continues its field inspection tours to monitor violations and address them according to regulations. It urges adherence to regulations, prohibits encroachment on government lands, and encourages reporting any violations or transgressions through the "Baladi" application or the unified reporting center at 940, in order to protect public property.
