The National Center for Meteorology revealed details of the expected weather conditions for Thursday in the Kingdom, warning of strong winds, dust storms, and thunderstorms in several regions.
meteorological statement warned of strong, high-speed winds stirring up dust and sand, which could lead to sandstorms and reduced horizontal visibility in parts of the Eastern Province, the Northern Borders, Al-Jawf, Tabuk, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, Madinah, and Makkah.
Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are also expected to continue, leading to flash floods and hail in parts of these regions, as well as in parts of Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and Najran.
Red Sea
- Surface winds: Southwesterly to northwesterly in the northern part and southeasterly to southwesterly in the central and southern parts at a speed of 22-45 km/h, reaching up to 60 km/h with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
- Wave height: from one to two meters, reaching more than three meters with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
- Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming rough with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
Arabian Gulf
- Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 15-32 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
- Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching more than two and a half meters with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
- Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming rough with the formation of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
