ويقول مدرب كرة القدم واللياقة البدنية الكابتن أيمن العطية لـ«عكاظ»: اعتماد الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم 16 تعديلاً جديداً على قانون اللعبة، استناداً إلى التحديثات الصادرة عن المجلس الدولي لكرة القدم (IFAB)، يمثل خطوة مهمة نحو تطوير منظومة كرة القدم وتعزيز العدالة والانضباط داخل المستطيل الأخضر، بما يتماشى مع أفضل الممارسات العالمية الحديثة. فالتعديلات الجديدة لا تقتصر على الجوانب التحكيمية فقط، بل تمتد لتؤثر في مختلف عناصر اللعبة، حيث تهدف إلى زيادة الفعالية وتقليل الوقت المهدر ورفع جودة المباريات. ومن أبرز هذه التعديلات تنظيم عملية الاستبدال، والحد من الاحتجاجات على الحكام، وتطوير آليات التعامل مع بعض الحالات التحكيمية المعقدة، إضافة إلى توسيع نطاق تدخل تقنية حكم الفيديو المساعد (VAR) في عدد من الوقائع المؤثرة.
وأضاف أن عالم كرة القدم سيستفيد من هذه التعديلات عبر تحقيق قدر أكبر من الانسيابية والوضوح في القرارات، وتقليل فرص الجدل التحكيمي الذي كان يرافق بعض المباريات في السابق. كما أن الإجراءات المتعلقة بمكافحة إضاعة الوقت، مثل إلزام اللاعب المستبدل بمغادرة الملعب خلال مدة محددة، ووضع ضوابط أكثر صرامة لتأخير استئناف اللعب، ستسهم في زيادة الزمن الفعلي للمباريات وتحسين جودة المنافسة.
وأشار إلى أن اللاعبين سيكونون أمام مسؤوليات أكبر خلال الموسم الجديد، إذ تتطلب التعديلات درجة أعلى من الانضباط والالتزام بالقوانين، خصوصاً في ما يتعلق بالاحتجاجات والتعامل مع الحكام. كما سيحتاج المدربون إلى إعادة تكييف إستراتيجياتهم الفنية والتكتيكية مع بعض المستجدات القانونية، بما يضمن الاستفادة المثلى من التعديلات وتجنب العقوبات أو القرارات التي قد تؤثر في نتائج المباريات.
وبيّن أن الجماهير ستكون من أبرز المستفيدين من هذه التغييرات، نظراً إلى ما ستوفره من مباريات أكثر عدالة وسرعة وإثارة، إلى جانب تقليل حالات التوقف الطويلة والخلافات التحكيمية التي كانت تؤثر أحياناً في متعة المشاهدة. كما أن وضوح الإجراءات الجديدة سيساعد الجماهير على فهم القرارات التحكيمية بصورة أفضل، ما يعزز الثقة في نزاهة المنافسات.
وفي ما يتعلق بتقنية الفيديو المساعد (VAR)، أكد العطية أن دورها سيزداد أهمية مع التعديلات الجديدة، خصوصاً بعد منحها صلاحيات إضافية لمراجعة بعض الحالات المؤثرة، مثل الإنذار الثاني الخاطئ، وتصحيح الخطأ في تحديد هوية اللاعب، والتدخل في بعض المخالفات السابقة للكرات الثابتة، بجانب مراجعة بعض القرارات المتعلقة بالركلات الركنية وفق الضوابط المحددة. وكل هذه الخطوات تعزز دقة القرارات التحكيمية وتحد من الأخطاء البشرية، بما يرسخ مبدأ العدالة ويمنح جميع الأطراف شعوراً أكبر بالإنصاف داخل الملعب.
واختتم الكابتن العطية حديثه بالتأكيد على أن هذه التعديلات تمثل مرحلة جديدة في تطوير الرياضة، وتعكس حرص الاتحاد السعودي على مواكبة أحدث المستجدات العالمية، بما يخدم اللعبة ويرتقي بمستوى المنافسة ويعزّز مكانة الكرة السعودية على الساحة الدولية.

Football and fitness coach Captain Ayman Al-Attiyah told “Okaz”: The Saudi Football Federation’s adoption of 16 new amendments to the laws of the game, based on updates issued by the International Football Association Board (IFAB), represents an important step towards developing the football system and enhancing fairness and discipline within the green rectangle, in line with the best modern global practices. The new amendments are not limited to refereeing aspects only, but extend to affect various elements of the game, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce wasted time, and improve the quality of matches. Among the most notable of these amendments is the organization of the substitution process, limiting protests against referees, developing mechanisms for dealing with some complex refereeing situations, in addition to expanding the scope of intervention of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in several impactful incidents.
He added that the world of football will benefit from these amendments by achieving a greater degree of fluidity and clarity in decisions, and reducing opportunities for refereeing controversies that accompanied some matches in the past. Additionally, measures related to combating time-wasting, such as requiring substituted players to leave the field within a specified time, and imposing stricter controls on delaying the resumption of play, will contribute to increasing the actual time of matches and improving the quality of competition.
He pointed out that players will face greater responsibilities during the new season, as the amendments require a higher degree of discipline and adherence to the laws, especially regarding protests and interactions with referees. Coaches will also need to readjust their technical and tactical strategies in line with some legal updates, ensuring optimal benefit from the amendments and avoiding penalties or decisions that could affect match outcomes.
He indicated that fans will be among the main beneficiaries of these changes, given the more fair, faster, and exciting matches they will provide, alongside reducing long stoppages and refereeing disputes that sometimes affected the enjoyment of watching. Additionally, the clarity of the new procedures will help fans better understand refereeing decisions, enhancing trust in the integrity of the competitions.
Regarding the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, Al-Attiyah confirmed that its role will become increasingly important with the new amendments, especially after granting it additional powers to review certain impactful situations, such as incorrect second yellow cards, correcting mistakes in identifying players, intervening in some fouls prior to set pieces, in addition to reviewing some decisions related to corner kicks according to specified controls. All these steps enhance the accuracy of refereeing decisions and limit human errors, reinforcing the principle of fairness and providing all parties with a greater sense of equity on the field.
Captain Al-Attiyah concluded his remarks by emphasizing that these amendments represent a new phase in the development of the sport, reflecting the Saudi Federation’s commitment to keeping up with the latest global developments, serving the game, elevating the level of competition, and enhancing the status of Saudi football on the international stage.
