كشف مدرب ريال مدريد جوزيه مورينيو سبب فشل ناديه في التعاقد مع نجم خط الوسط رودري، الذي اختار الانضمام إلى برشلونة، بعدما كان قريباً للغاية من الانتقال إلى الملكي.
وكان برشلونة قد أعلن، أمس (الثلاثاء)، تعاقده مع رودري قادماً من مانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي، بعقد يمتد حتى عام 2030.
«تحدثنا مرتين»
وقال مورينيو في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «موندو ديبورتيفو»: «تحدثت مع رودري مرتين، وقدم له ريال مدريد عرضاً ممتازاً، كما أن علاقته مع مانشستر سيتي جيدة جداً، تواصل النادي معه، وكان لديه بعض الشكوك».
الريال لا يقبل المترددين
وأضاف: «أعتقد أن شكوكه هي التي أثارت لديّ بعض الشكوك، إنه لاعب استثنائي وممتاز، لكنني أعتقد أن ريال مدريد نادٍ لا يقبل لاعبين يترددون في الانضمام إليه، ولا أعتقد أن برشلونة سعى لخطف رودري من ريال مدريد، أتمنى للاعب التوفيق، وإن لم يكن كثيراً».
لدينا حلول
وتابع المدرب البرتغالي: «أنا لا أفتقد رودري، لدينا حلول ولاعبون مميزون، ولاعبون يتم تقييمهم بناءً على أدائهم، لكنني أعتقد أن لدي القدرة على تطويرهم».
أفضل لاعب في المونديال
يُذكر أن رودري، الفائز بالكرة الذهبية 2024، تُوج الشهر الماضي بجائزة أفضل لاعب في كأس العالم 2026، بعد مساهمته المؤثرة في تتويج منتخب إسبانيا باللقب للمرة الثانية في تاريخه، عقب فوزه على الأرجنتين بنتيجة 1-0 في المباراة النهائية.

Barcelona announced yesterday (Tuesday) that they have signed Rodri from Manchester City, with a contract extending until 2030.
“We spoke twice”
Mourinho said in statements reported by the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”: “I spoke with Rodri twice, and Real Madrid made him an excellent offer, and his relationship with Manchester City is very good. The club communicated with him, and he had some doubts.”
The royal club does not accept the hesitant
He added: “I think his doubts raised some doubts in me. He is an exceptional and excellent player, but I believe that Real Madrid is a club that does not accept players who hesitate to join it, and I don’t think Barcelona sought to snatch Rodri from Real Madrid. I wish the player good luck, even if it’s not much.”

The Portuguese coach continued: “I do not miss Rodri; we have solutions and outstanding players, and players are evaluated based on their performance, but I believe I have the ability to develop them.”
Best player in the World Cup
It is worth mentioning that Rodri, the winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or, was crowned last month as the best player in the 2026 World Cup after his significant contribution to Spain’s victory in the title for the second time in its history, following their 1-0 win over Argentina in the final match.
