The Appeals Committee awards Al-Faisaly the points against Abha and cancels the match result

The Appeals Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation issued its decision regarding the appeal submitted by Al-Faisaly Club against the decision of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee concerning its protest against the illegality of Abha player Jay Dambele’s participation in the match that brought the two teams together on January 21, 2026, within the competitions of the Yelo First Division Professional League. It decided to accept the appeal in form and substance, and cancel the decision of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee issued on January 29, 2026, after reviewing the evidence and documents submitted by Al-Faisaly Club, in addition to the responses of the parties and the inquiries of the Professionalism and Players Status Committee.

The Appeals Committee confirmed that Abha Club violated the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations due to the ineligibility of player Jay Dambele to participate in the match, and decided to cancel the result of the match and consider Abha Club to have lost with a score of (3-0) in favor of Al-Faisaly Club.

The decision also included obligating Abha Club to pay a financial penalty of 37,500 riyals to the account of the Saudi Football Federation, in addition to suspending the manager of the Abha team, Abdullah Yahya Ahmed Al Madwah, for two months in all official matches in which he is entitled to participate.

The committee approved the refund of the protest and appeal fees paid by Al-Faisaly Club, noting that the decision is subject to appeal in accordance with the statutes of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

The committee decided to accept the appeal in form and substance, and to annul the decision of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee issued on January 29, 2026, after reviewing the evidence and documents submitted by Al-Faisaly Club, in addition to the responses from the parties and inquiries from the Professionalism and Player Status Committee.

The Appeals Committee established that Abha Club violated the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations due to the ineligibility of player Jay Dambily to participate in the match, deciding to annul the result of the match and consider Abha Club to have lost with a score of (3-0) in favor of Al-Faisaly Club.

The decision also included obligating Abha Club to pay a fine financial of 37,500 riyals to the account of the Saudi Football Federation, in addition to suspending Abha team manager Abdullah Yahya Ahmed Al-Mudhwa for two months in all official matches in which he is eligible to participate.

The appeal committee approved the refund of the protest and fees paid by Al-Faisaly Club, noting that the decision is subject to appeal according to the statutes of the Saudi Football Federation.
