The Civil Defense, in cooperation with relevant authorities, provides awareness messages explaining the meanings of weather alerts and the correct way to act when they occur, as well as safety guidelines related to rainy conditions, in order to preserve lives and property and enhance public safety.

The Directorate stressed the importance of staying away from low-lying areas, water pools, and valleys during rainfall , not risking crossing valleys during flash floods, taking precautions when moving around or engaging in outdoor activities, following safety guidelines and instructions announced through official media and social media sites, and contacting the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (998) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions to request assistance in emergency situations.
