Hajj season... Wakaa intensifies its efforts with 50 staff and 17 teams to promote animal health

The center explained that its field operations were carried out with the participation of 50 specialized personnel, organized into 17 field teams. These teams conducted over 4,737 monitoring and awareness visits to public markets and slaughterhouses, in addition to 2,657 visits to investigate and control disease vectors.
indicatedWiqathat the field teams inspected over 92,111 head of livestock as part of their efforts to promote animal health and reduce the risks associated with epidemic diseases, thus contributing to the protection of public health during the Hajj season.
In the area of agricultural monitoring and surveying, the center conducted field surveys covering more than 29,024 hectares to combat desert locusts, in addition to surveying 8,981 dunams to combat the black grasshopper and grasshopper infestation, as part of its proactive plans to protect vegetation and agricultural resources.
The center emphasized that these efforts are part of the integrated national efforts to serve pilgrims and enhance the preparedness of the prevention system, in line with the Kingdom's objectives of providing high-quality services during the Hajj season.
