The Minister of Interior is briefed on the smart transportation system in the holy sites

His Royal Highness was briefed Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Minister of Interior The Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, on Thursday, reviewed the operational work system and smart technologies at the General Transport Center of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites, as part of his field tours to monitor the readiness of the transport system during Hajj season 1447 AH.
His Highness listened to an explanation given by the CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites, Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed, about the mechanisms for monitoring and managing the transportation of pilgrims in Makkah City and the Holy Sites, and the role of digital systems in supporting decision-making and raising the efficiency of field operations during the Hajj season, during his visit to the control and operations room at the center.

His Highness the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, was also briefed on the approved technological solutions in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, and the mechanisms for utilizing real-time data and smart analytics to enhance the smooth flow of transportation and the speed of operational response.

His Highness listened to a briefing on the level of technical integration among relevant entities and the operational plans aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the transportation system in the Holy Sites, thereby improving the experience of pilgrims and enabling them to move around and perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
The visit was attended by Assistant Minister of Interior Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal, and Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research, Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arwan.
