
Minister of Transport: Saudi ports on the Red Sea have a large capacity
of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser,
stated In an interview with Al Arabiya channel, he emphasized the Kingdom's robust infrastructure and the interconnectedness of various transport modes, including maritime, land, air, and rail transport . This integration is facilitated by the collaboration of various government agencies, including customs, security authorities, and all government entities operating within the ports.
His remarks came during his visit today to Jeddah Islamic Port, where he observed the handling operations and supply chain activities, which are proceeding smoothly and efficiently.
He also launched the Logistics Routes Program, which includes the provision of additional operational corridors for receiving containers and goods diverted from the Kingdom's eastern ports and ports in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to Jeddah Islamic Port and other ports on the Red Sea coast. This program aims to ensure the smooth and reliable flow of trade with regional and global markets.
