The month-long live sculpture phase culminated in the creation of 25 innovative sculptures by a select group of local and international artists. These works embodied profound concepts of sustainability through the complete use of local stone and recycled metals to produce finished masterpieces.
The event transcended mere visual display, offering a comprehensive community program that enriched the artistic knowledge of thousands of visitors and emerging talents. The activities included specialized panel discussions, training workshops, and daily guided tours, providing exceptional opportunities for learning and engaging with renowned international expertise.
Closing of the exhibition activities
The accompanying exhibition concluded with a display of the completed sculptures in one location, preparing them for their final installation. These artworks will be distributed across prominent public spaces in Riyadh as part of a strategic plan to integrate contemporary art into the capital's urban fabric.
The seventh edition of the exhibition was curated by Lulwa Al-Hamoud, Sarah Staton, and Ruth Bliss Luxemburg, whose expertise combined spatial practice with visual culture. This curatorial vision guided the artists toward a creative interaction with the material, exploring the horizons of the future of art and reflecting the present.

The Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium is a cornerstone of the Riyadh Art Program, one of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City's largest public art projects. This ambitious initiative aims to stimulate the creative economy and solidify Riyadh's position as a global art capital, aligning with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.
