Absher platform records 38 million electronic transactions in November 2025

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued its rapid progress towards comprehensive digital transformation, with the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform, "Absher," recording new record numbers that reflect the significant reliance on technology in managing the affairs of citizens, residents, and the business sector. Official statistics revealed that the platform processed a total of 38,315,884 electronic transactions during November 2025, confirming the success of the Ministry's strategy in automating services and facilitating access to them.

Details of transactions via Absher Individuals and Businesses

Detailed data revealed significant variations in transaction volume, with the Absher Individuals platform accounting for the largest share at 35,791,107 transactions. Notably, the digital wallet, a key modern technological enabler, saw a surge in activity, with 29,637,421 digital document reviews, indicating a growing awareness among users of the importance of digital documents and the gradual shift away from paper documents. Meanwhile, the business sector continued its growth on the platform, with the Absher Business platform recording 2,524,777 transactions, reflecting the platform's role in facilitating business procedures and supporting the investment environment in the Kingdom.

Most active sectors: Traffic and passports lead the way

Among the security and service sectors under the Ministry of Interior, Public Security services led the way with a total of 3,535,187 transactions. The General Directorate of Traffic accounted for the vast majority of these transactions, with 3,432,289, reflecting the high demand for electronic traffic services such as license renewals, vehicle ownership transfers, and others. The General Directorate of Passports came in second with 1,960,089 transactions, followed by the Ministry of Interior's Civil Status Agency with 532,784 transactions, highlighting the platform's comprehensive coverage of all aspects of civil life.

These figures are not merely statistics; they are a vital indicator of the success of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals in building an effective digital government. This transformation contributes to saving millions of hours of beneficiaries' time, reducing traffic congestion caused by commuting to government offices, and increasing the efficiency of government spending and protecting the environment by minimizing paper transactions. Furthermore, access to more than 28 million unified digital identities through the platform confirms the high reliability and security of the Ministry of Interior's digital infrastructure.

Additional services enhance the user experience

The services were not limited to core operations but also included specialized services through "Absher Individuals," where 124,926 reports were issued via the Absher Reports service, 1,729 general fingerprint inquiries were answered, and 215 requests for document delivery by mail were processed. The unified digital identity allows beneficiaries seamless access to more than 500 government and private entities through the National Unified Access Portal "Nafath," thus reinforcing the concept of a connected and integrated government.
