At the start of his meetings, Al-Jubeir met with Edward Llewellyn, Director General for Political Affairs at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The meeting addressed the historical and strategic relations between Riyadh and London and ways to develop them across various political and security fields. The two sides also discussed key issues on the conference agenda and exchanged views on current regional and international crises, emphasizing the importance of joint coordination to confront global security challenges.

In a related development, Al-Jubeir held an important meeting with Ms. Hanna Jalloul-Moro, Vice-Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs and Head of the Delegation for Relations with the Arabian Peninsula.
