Strategic location and the importance of rapid response
The Ajyad Emergency Hospital and the Haram Emergency Centers are of paramount importance and strategic significance due to their geographical location adjacent to the Grand Mosque and the central area. This proximity is a crucial factor in saving lives, as it allows ambulance teams to intervene immediately in emergencies such as heat exhaustion, heart attacks, and accidental injuries that may occur as a result of overcrowding, thus enhancing the health security system within the Grand Mosque and its outer courtyards.
Supporting the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030
These distinguished medical services fall within the broader context of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to serve the Two Holy Mosques and are directly aligned with the objectives of Vision 2030, which aims to increase the capacity for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims and enhance the services provided to them. The healthcare system in Makkah plays a pivotal role in realizing this vision by providing a safe and healthy environment and harnessing all available human and technological resources to ensure a smooth and secure spiritual journey for all visitors from around the world.
Constant readiness and qualified staff
The Makkah Health Cluster confirmed that these centers and hospitals are operating at full capacity around the clock, supported by flexible, pre-prepared operational plans that take into account peak seasons and high population density. Medical staff are committed to implementing the latest treatment protocols and preventative measures approved by the Ministry of Health, reflecting the significant development of the health sector in the Kingdom and its exceptional ability to manage mass gatherings and provide high-quality care in one of the world's most crowded locations.
