The Governor of Al-Ahsa inaugurates the upgraded Al-Salmaniya Ambulance Center with the latest technologies
In a strategic step aimed at enhancing the emergency health services system in the Eastern Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, inaugurated the upgraded Salmaniya Ambulance Center , which comes as a distinguished result of the effective community partnership between the government and private sectors, to serve the people of the governorate according to the highest international standards.
Strengthening the health infrastructure in Al-Ahsa
The opening of this upgraded center comes at a time when Al-Ahsa Governorate is experiencing urban expansion and increasing population density, necessitating the development of emergency medical services infrastructure to keep pace with this growth. The Salmaniya Center is a vital hub, as its strategic location allows it to cover a wide geographical area, facilitating rapid response to emergencies – what is known in emergency medicine as the "golden hour," during which the chances of survival for the injured are highest.
This step is fully in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program, which focuses on facilitating access to health services and raising the quality and efficiency of ambulance services, to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
Community partnership and modern technologies
During the inauguration ceremony, which was attended by the Director of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority office in Al-Ahsa, Dr. Fahd Al-Dosari, His Highness the Governor was briefed on the advanced equipment provided to the center. The center has been equipped with a state-of-the-art fleet of ambulances featuring mobile intensive care technologies, as well as smart communication systems that directly connect field teams with operations rooms and hospitals, thus reducing response times to emergency calls.
The project embodies a model to be emulated in activating the role of social responsibility of the private sector, as efforts were combined to create an integrated health facility that supports the state’s efforts in saving lives.
Supporting leadership and empowering national talent
Prince Saud bin Talal praised the generous and unlimited support provided by the wise leadership – may God protect them – to the health and ambulance sectors, emphasizing that this support is the primary driver of the development witnessed in medical services in the Kingdom. His Highness also commended the heroic role played by the national cadres of paramedics and doctors, who work tirelessly day and night to provide humanitarian services with high professional efficiency.
Raising operational readiness
For his part, Dr. Fahd Al-Dosari explained that the new center will directly contribute to raising the operational performance indicators of the Red Crescent Authority in the province. He emphasized that the center's role is not limited to ambulance transport, but extends to providing advanced emergency medical care at the scene of the incident before reaching the hospital, thanks to qualified personnel and modern medical technologies provided with the continuous support and follow-up of His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa.
