A tribute to the unsung heroes of humanity
This annual initiative highlights a group who have dedicated themselves to fulfilling a vital societal obligation: the "preparers of the deceased," who work silently and faithfully. This gathering carries profound significance beyond simply sharing a breakfast; it aims to provide moral and psychological support to these volunteers who face challenging humanitarian situations daily, emphasizing that the community recognizes and highly values their efforts. In Islamic and local culture, preparing the deceased for burial is considered one of the noblest forms of volunteer work, requiring patience and perseverance. Therefore, it was essential to express our gratitude to them during this blessed month.
Social cohesion and active participation
The event was distinguished by its meticulous organization, overseen by dedicated national talents. Hassan Al-Abdulrazzaq and Aqeel Al-Jaroudi in coordinating this Ramadan gathering. The meal wasn't limited to what the association provided; the spirit of community partnership was beautifully embodied when attendees and participants brought their own diverse homemade Ramadan dishes, transforming the iftar into a communal meal that reflected genuine hospitality and brotherhood. This underscored the community's response to the association's invitation, demonstrating that goodness is achieved through everyone's cooperation.
A message of thanks and appreciation
Commenting on the event, Hafez Al-Faraj , affirmed that this gathering represents a message of gratitude and appreciation for these generous contributions. Al-Faraj noted that the presence of one hundred fasting individuals at a single table embodies the highest ideals of brotherhood, explaining that the association is proud of these dedicated individuals who devote their time and effort to serving the community in pursuit of reward and divine favor. He added that such initiatives strengthen the culture of volunteerism in the region and highlight the bright side of Qatif Governorate, which has historically been known for its pioneering civic and social initiatives.
The importance of volunteer work in strengthening the social fabric
Al-Firdous Association is a model of effective non-profit organizations striving to establish the principles of institutional philanthropy. This iftar (fast-breaking meal) strengthens social bonds among volunteers and provides an opportunity for them to exchange experiences and expertise in a friendly atmosphere, away from the pressures of work. The continuation of such events directly contributes to the sustainability of volunteer work and encourages younger generations to engage in serving their community, thus serving the cause of comprehensive social development.
