Honorary member of Al-Ittihad Club and former general supervisor of the youth teams, Mohammed Al-Lami, praised the heroic performance and historic result achieved by Al-Ittihad's first football team, following their resounding 7-0 victory over Qatari side Al-Gharafa. In exclusive statements to Okaz newspaper, Al-Lami emphasized that this decisive win, securing qualification for the Round of 16 in the AFC Champions League, reflects the high level of technical and mental readiness that Al-Ittihad currently possesses.

A strong message to competitors in Asia

Al-Lami explained that the 7-0 victory was more than just three points; it was a powerful message to all competitors in Asia, confirming Al-Ittihad's determination to reclaim its continental glory. This performance connects the present to the club's illustrious past, as Al-Ittihad boasts a rich history in Asian championships, being the only Saudi team to have won the title twice consecutively in 2004 and 2005. Preparing for the local match against Al-Fayha

Meanwhile, shifting their focus from continental success to domestic competition, the team continues its intensive preparations for their match against Al-Fayha in the 22nd round of the Saudi Professional League. The match is scheduled for tomorrow evening, Friday, at 8:30 PM at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah.

During the final training sessions, the coaching staff is working on putting the finishing touches on the tactical plan and selecting the most suitable starting lineup for the match, with the aim of continuing the winning streak and collecting the three points, which will strengthen the team’s position in the league standings and confirm its ability to compete in all available tournaments this season.
