Al-Qadisiyah crowned champions of the Youth League, and Jassim confirms the club's ambition

National coach Ibrahim Abdullah Jassim, deputy technical director for the youth categories at Al-Qadisiyah Club, expressed his immense pride and happiness at the club's under-18 team winning the Saudi Premier League Cup for the 2026 sports season. In a statement to Okaz newspaper, Jassim emphasized that this achievement did not come out of nowhere, but is the result of diligent work and continuous collective effort from all members of the system since the start of the season.

Jassim said, “We are very proud of what our stars have achieved this season. The players demonstrated strong character and a high competitive spirit throughout the competition, and they truly deserved this title.” He praised the players’ significant role on the field, emphasizing that they lived up to the responsibility and trust placed in them, reflecting their footballing maturity and high level of commitment.

Administrative support and a future vision

Jassem also acknowledged the significant role of administrative support in securing the title. He added, "We received tremendous support from the board of directors of Al-Qadsia Club, headed by Mr. Bader Al-Ruziza and all board members, as well as the CEO, Mr. James Besgrove. Everyone was cooperative from the beginning, and thank God, our efforts culminated in this achievement, which is a source of pride for every Al-Qadsia supporter.".

This achievement comes at a pivotal moment in the history of Al-Qadisiyah FC, based in Al-Khobar. Following its acquisition by Saudi Aramco, an ambitious sporting project was launched, aiming to restore the club to its former glory in Saudi football and enable it to compete at all levels. A cornerstone of this project is the focus on youth development and nurturing young talent, with management striving to build a solid foundation of local players capable of representing the first team in the future.

Strategic importance that goes beyond the title

This title represents more than just another trophy in the club's collection; it's the first fruit of the new project and confirms the soundness of the strategic direction of investing in the youth sector. This approach aligns with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great importance on developing Saudi sports and cultivating a new generation of talented athletes capable of raising the Kingdom's profile on the international stage.

Jassem concluded his remarks with an optimistic outlook for the future, emphasizing that their ambitions would not stop there: “This title represents a qualitative leap for the youth categories at Al-Qadisiyah Club, and our ambition will not stop, God willing. We have great challenges ahead, and we will strive to build a new generation that represents a true core for the first football team and the national teams. The future is brighter, God willing.”.
