The artistic and strategic work behind the achievement
Commenting on this resounding victory, Song Chung, the Al-Qadisiyah archery team coach, explained that this achievement was not a coincidence, but rather the result of continuous technical work and a rigorous training methodology within the club's system. Chung emphasized that winning 10 medals in a single championship reflects the high level of discipline and effort exerted by the players during the past training camps. He praised the high morale and advanced technical level demonstrated by the team across all categories, and affirmed the continued commitment to fulfilling the club's future ambitions.
Context of the development of archery in Saudi Arabia
This championship comes at a time when Saudi sports, and specifically individual sports like archery, are experiencing a qualitative leap forward, supported by the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. This aligns with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to increase sports participation and cultivate Olympic champions. Indoor championships are of paramount importance on the Saudi Archery Federation's calendar, as they provide an ideal environment for competition and skill development for archers, protected from the vagaries of outdoor weather, thus contributing to the development of strong athletes for the national teams.
Al-Qadisiyah and the model of different games
This achievement also reflects the strategic transformation underway at Al-Qadisiyah Club, particularly since its acquisition by Aramco. The club is now focusing intensively on developing various sports, not just football. This diversity in medals (across the junior, youth, and compound archery categories) indicates a solid foundation of young talent being nurtured to represent the Kingdom in upcoming international and regional competitions, further solidifying the club's position as a key supplier of Saudi national teams.
