Al-Sarar Municipality completes paving of streets in Hijrat Shafiya, covering an area of 5500 m2
Al-Sarar Municipality announced the successful completion of the road paving project in the village of Shafiya, covering a total area of 5,548 square meters. This achievement is an integral part of the municipality's ongoing strategy to improve and develop the internal road network and enhance traffic safety, reflecting the commitment of relevant authorities to strengthening the quality of municipal services provided to residents in all villages and settlements under its jurisdiction.
This project falls within the broader context of the developmental renaissance underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's infrastructure sector, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030, specifically the Quality of Life Program. Through these projects, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing aims to bridge the developmental gap between cities and outlying centers, ensuring access to advanced infrastructure services for all citizens regardless of their location, thereby enhancing population stability and supporting balanced local development.
In detailing the project, the Mayor of Al-Sarar, Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, explained that the completed works are a cornerstone of the municipality's development programs. Al-Dosari emphasized that infrastructure projects are a top priority due to their direct and daily impact on the lives of residents and the comfort of beneficiaries. The paving work was carried out according to the highest approved technical and engineering specifications, starting with repairing damaged streets and leveling the sub-base layers, and culminating in laying the asphalt layers, to ensure the roads' durability and ability to withstand various climatic conditions and traffic loads.
These projects are of paramount importance, extending far beyond mere road paving. They contribute significantly to enhancing traffic safety and reducing accidents and hazards that can arise from unpaved roads, particularly in residential areas with constant vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Furthermore, improving the road network facilitates access for government services and emergency vehicles, and supports commercial activity and the daily commutes of students and employees, positively impacting the social and economic well-being of the residents of the Shafiya settlement.
The municipality concluded by affirming that the road paving project in the Al-Shafiya settlement is part of a continuous series of development projects aimed at improving the urban landscape and eliminating visual pollution, thus creating a healthy and attractive urban environment. The Al-Sarar Municipality emphasized its commitment to continuing the implementation of its service plans to meet all the needs of the residents and to upgrade the infrastructure in the area to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.
