Almarai graduates 55 national talents as part of its skills development programs

In a move that underscores its established strategy of investing in human capital, Almarai, the region’s leading food and beverage company, celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of 55 promising employees. This graduation marks the culmination of their efforts in completing Almarai’s annual Talent Development Programs, which aim to empower Saudi talent and cultivate a new generation of leaders and experts capable of driving the company’s growth and innovation.

Historical background and deep-rooted commitment

Since its founding in 1977, Almarai has been more than just a dairy company; it has become an integral part of the economic and social fabric of Saudi Arabia. For over four decades, the company has built its reputation on quality and innovation, recognizing that sustaining this success depends primarily on developing its workforce. Talent development programs are a natural extension of this philosophy, representing a strategic investment in the future that ensures the company's continued leadership in a highly competitive sector and enhances its ability to expand regionally and globally.

Strategic importance and alignment with Vision 2030

This initiative is particularly important given the economic transformations underway in the Kingdom. Almarai's programs not only contribute to achieving the company's internal objectives but also align directly with the goals of Vision 2030, specifically the Human Capital Development Program. By honing the skills of young Saudis and preparing them for specialized leadership and technical positions, Almarai effectively contributes to building a knowledge-based economy, reducing reliance on foreign expertise, and enhancing national food security with local talent. The graduation of this group of talented individuals represents not only a success for Almarai but also a valuable addition to the entire Saudi labor market.

During the graduation ceremony, which was attended by the company's CEO, Mr. Fawaz Al-Jasser, the Chief Human Resources Officer, Mr. Ayman Al-Qair, and a number of the company's leaders, Al-Jasser emphasized this vision, saying: "At Almarai, we are proud that investing in national talent and capabilities is a deeply rooted culture in the company since its founding, and not just a short-term initiative or program. What we are witnessing today in graduating this number of promising talents reflects our conviction that national competencies are the true engine for the sustainability of the company's growth and its leadership in the industry.".

Integrated development paths

This year’s talent development programs included three main tracks, each carefully designed to meet different needs. The training period in each track extends from 6 to 8 months with an integrated educational methodology that combines theoretical qualification, practical application, and leadership guidance

  • Promising Talent Program: Targets employees in the early stages of their careers to hone their basic skills and accelerate their career path.
  • Future Leaders Program: Focuses on developing the leadership and strategic capabilities of employees nominated to assume advanced leadership positions.
  • Future Experts Program: It is concerned with deepening the specialized and technical expertise of personnel who are pursuing a specialized career path within the company.

With these ongoing initiatives, Almarai embodies its commitment to its role as an active partner in national development, and continues to consolidate its position as an attractive work environment and a preferred choice for ambitious Saudi talents, who will lead the future of the food and beverage sector towards broader horizons of excellence and leadership.
