The 81st Saudi relief plane arrives to support Gaza via Al-Arish

The 81st Saudi relief plane, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, arrived today at El Arish International Airport in Egypt as part of the ongoing Saudi air bridge to aid the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This flight, fully coordinated with the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the Kingdom's embassy in Cairo, carried essential shipments of urgent humanitarian aid.
The new aircraft carried large quantities of diverse relief supplies, including complete food baskets and shelter kits, destined for those affected within the Gaza Strip. This initiative comes in response to the dire humanitarian conditions faced by the Strip's residents, with the aid aimed at providing basic necessities such as food and shelter to displaced and affected families.
Context of the Saudi relief campaign
This aid comes as part of the popular campaign to provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister. This ongoing air bridge, which today reached its 81st aircraft, reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to supporting Arab and Islamic causes and standing by its brothers in times of hardship and crisis.
The importance of support in light of the current crisis
The arrival of this plane is particularly important given the severe shortages of food and shelter supplies in the Gaza Strip. The Kingdom, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, is working to diversify its assistance to include medical, food, and shelter aid, ensuring that as many urgent needs as possible are met. This aid is being delivered in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent to ensure its entry through the Rafah border crossing and its distribution to those in need within the Palestinian territories.
The Kingdom's leading role regionally and internationally
The continued flow of Saudi aid via air and sea bridges underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role in international humanitarian work. The Kingdom has not only provided political support for the Palestinian cause in international forums, but has also translated this support into tangible action through continuous relief convoys. This strengthens the resilience of the Palestinian people, alleviates their suffering, and highlights the deep fraternal and historical ties that bind the Saudi and Palestinian peoples.
