The 81st Saudi relief plane arrives at El Arish Airport to support Gaza

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the brotherly Palestinian people, the 81st Saudi relief plane arrived today at El Arish International Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This arrival is part of the continuous air bridge operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister – may God protect them both.

The plane carried a large shipment of urgent humanitarian aid, including complete food baskets and shelter kits for those affected, which will then be transported by truck into the Gaza Strip. This step comes in close coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the Kingdom's embassy in Cairo, to ensure that the aid reaches those who need it most under the exceptional circumstances the Strip is experiencing.

The importance of the Saudi air bridge in alleviating suffering

The Saudi airlift represents a true lifeline for our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip, arriving at a time when the humanitarian crisis is worsening and the need for food, medicine, and shelter is critically high. This aid reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role in international humanitarian work and its unwavering commitment to standing by affected populations, especially the Palestinian people who are facing severe living challenges as a result of the ongoing events.

Saudi Arabia's efforts are not limited to the air bridge; they are complemented by a broad public campaign through the "Sahem" platform, which has witnessed significant engagement from the Saudi people, reflecting the fraternal solidarity between the two nations. The Kingdom is working through all diplomatic and logistical channels to overcome obstacles and ensure the continued flow of aid through the Rafah crossing and other available entry points.

The Kingdom's historical role in supporting the Palestinian cause

The arrival of the 81st aircraft is a continuation of a long and established history of Saudi support for the Palestinian cause on all political, economic, and humanitarian levels. For decades, the Kingdom has been at the forefront of countries supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, and has never hesitated to provide material and moral support.

Reports indicate that Saudi aid is diverse, encompassing health, food, and shelter sectors, with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center striving to bridge the significant gap in basic needs within Gaza. Observers affirm that the continued flow of relief flights at this pace reflects a steadfast Saudi commitment, unaffected by changing circumstances, and a powerful message of solidarity confirming that the Kingdom will spare no effort to alleviate the suffering of its Palestinian brothers and sisters.
