The Islamic University: A global beacon since its founding

The Islamic University of Madinah, established by royal decree in 1381 AH (1961 CE), is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in the Muslim world. Since its inception, the university has undertaken a universal mission: to convey the timeless message of Islam to the world and to serve the Muslim community, both locally and globally. Thousands of scholars, preachers, and thinkers from over 170 countries have graduated from its alumni, making it a remarkably diverse and enriching cultural and academic environment.

Expected impact and keeping pace with digital transformation

The expansion of distance learning programs comes in response to global shifts in higher education and aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance digital infrastructure and develop human capital. This trend contributes to:

  • Strengthening soft power: Consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a hub of science and knowledge and a leader of the Islamic world.
  • Providing education for all: giving students whose financial or geographical circumstances prevent them from traveling to study in Medina the opportunity to do so.
  • Spreading moderation and centrism: Ensuring that correct scientific curricula based on moderation reach the largest possible segment of the youth of the Islamic world.

Invitation to apply

The university invited all those interested in taking advantage of this educational opportunity to visit its official accounts on social media platforms to view the "Admissions Guide" which contains all the details related to admission requirements, the benefits offered, and the procedural steps for registering on the electronic platform.
