The Board of Grievances launches an artificial intelligence and administrative implementation strategy

In a strategic move reflecting the rapid development of the Saudi judicial system, His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, President of the Board of Grievances and Chairman of the Administrative Judiciary Council, announced the Board's official entry into the third phase of its strategic plan, which adopts "innovation and artificial intelligence" as a fundamental pillar of its future operations. This announcement was made during the "Leadership" ceremony held in Diriyah Governorate, where the achievements of the judicial body in digital transformation and corporate governance were showcased.

The journey of digital transformation: from establishment to innovation

This qualitative leap was not a sudden occurrence, but rather the culmination of a long journey of diligent work within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The Board of Grievances has undergone foundational stages, beginning with the digitization of procedures through the "Moeen" digital platform, progressing through stages of institutional maturity and empowerment, and culminating in the current phase, which aims to leverage emerging technologies. These steps are an integral part of the state's overall direction towards smart government, as the administrative judiciary seeks to reduce reliance on human intervention in routine procedures to ensure greater accuracy and speed of completion.

Administrative implementation: Enhancing the prestige of the judiciary and the investment environment

In his address, Dr. Al-Yousef emphasized that the activation of the "Administrative Enforcement" project, which received direct guidance and support from His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, represents a historic turning point in Saudi administrative law. The project's significance lies in transforming judgments issued against administrative bodies from mere legal texts into tangible, legally binding realities.

On the economic and investment front, administrative implementation plays a pivotal role in enhancing the confidence of local and international investors, as it ensures the existence of clear and effective mechanisms for recovering rights and implementing obligations, which raises the Kingdom’s ranking in global indicators of judicial efficiency and the rule of law.

Employing artificial intelligence in drafting rulings

In a legal precedent, the head of the Board of Grievances unveiled ambitious plans to utilize artificial intelligence not only in procedural aspects but also in the core of judicial work, such as assisting in drafting and writing court rulings and predicting development indicators. This approach relies entirely on big data to ensure the accuracy of decisions and reduce discrepancies in judicial interpretations, thereby reinforcing the principle of swift justice.

The language of numbers and international recognition

The ceremony concluded with a presentation of the irrefutable language of numbers, with Al-Yousef emphasizing that reliance on accurate data and indicators is the true measure of performance, transcending personal impressions. These efforts culminated in the Board of Grievances receiving 28 local and international accreditations and awards, confirming that the Saudi administrative judiciary now operates according to the highest global standards, thus competing with comparable judicial systems in developed countries.
