Hospitality for children in the Two Holy Mosques: Safe care to enable pilgrims to worship

In a significant step aimed at enhancing the experience of pilgrims, the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has provided a safe and enriching environment for children through its "Children's Hospitality" centers in the Two Holy Mosques. This initiative is part of the integrated services provided by the Kingdom to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals and acts of worship with ease and tranquility, while ensuring their children receive exceptional care under the supervision of specialized staff.

Enhancing the experience of pilgrims and achieving the goals of the Vision

This service is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the experience of visitors, pilgrims, and Umrah performers, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Guests of God Service Program. Parents' concerns about their children's safety or disturbing other worshippers have long been a challenge for families in the Two Holy Mosques. Therefore, these centers offer a comprehensive solution that combines child safety with parental peace of mind, contributing to a more spiritually uplifting atmosphere within the prayer halls and courtyards.

Strategic locations and professional operation

The Authority was keen to select strategic locations to facilitate access to the service. In the Grand Mosque, two seasonal centers were established in the Third Saudi Expansion near Gate 100 and Gate 104. In the Prophet's Mosque , a permanent center operates year-round in the northern courtyard opposite Gate 25. These centers are distinguished by their 24-hour operation (at the permanent center), managed by a qualified and trained Saudi female team using the latest educational and care methods and operational technologies, to ensure the provision of a service befitting the status of the Two Holy Mosques.

High-tech security system

The centers prioritize children's safety, beginning with online registration, health data verification, and temperature checks. Each child is provided with a smart identification bracelet that links their data to their guardian's, ensuring that the child is only released after accurate matching. The centers are also equipped with comprehensive CCTV surveillance in classrooms and corridors, and smart doors to control entry and exit, providing a completely secure environment.

Enrichment programs: Learning through entertainment

The service is not limited to physical care; it also offers valuable educational and developmental content targeting boys aged 3 to 6 and girls aged 3 to 9. Programs include:

  • Simulating the rituals: Teaching children about the Hajj and Umrah rituals in an interactive way, including models of the Kaaba and the holy sites.
  • Quranic stories: Narrating the stories of the prophets, the story of the building of the Kaaba, and the Zamzam well in an engaging style that promotes Islamic values.
  • Skill-based activities: Motor and cognitive games that develop the child's intelligence and social skills.

Comprehensive care and hotel services

To ensure the children's comfort, the centers are equipped with quiet bedrooms and dedicated dining areas offering healthy daily meals prepared according to the highest food safety standards. Interactive screens displaying educational programs are also available, making the child's stay at the center an enjoyable and enriching experience that leaves a positive impression of their visit to the Two Holy Mosques.
