Civil Affairs office hours during Ramadan and how to book an appointment through Absher

The Saudi Ministry of Interior's Civil Status Agency announced details of its operational plan and service hours for citizens and residents during the holy month of Ramadan. This announcement reflects the Ministry's commitment to streamlining operations and facilitating procedures for those seeking services, in a manner that respects the spirituality of the holy month and the daily routines of those fasting.
Official working hours details during Ramadan
The agency explained that work at civil status offices will be divided into two shifts to accommodate all beneficiaries' needs. The morning shift 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at all offices, Sunday through Thursday. The evening shift , from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, has been designated at a number of specific offices, providing greater flexibility for both employees and citizens to conduct their business after Taraweeh prayers.
Digital services via the Absher platform
In line with the Kingdom's digital transformation under Vision 2030, the Civil Status Department emphasized the necessity of obtaining an appointment in advance through the "Absher" electronic platform before visiting its offices. The Absher platform is a cornerstone of digital government services, allowing users to choose a convenient time and location, thus contributing to reducing overcrowding and regulating the flow of visitors, especially during peak times in the holy month.
Saudi Post document delivery service
The agency urged beneficiaries to utilize the available electronic services that eliminate the need for in-person visits, such as renewing national ID cards online or issuing family records. It also emphasized the option of requesting direct delivery of official documents to the beneficiary's national address via Saudi Post (Subul), a service designed to save time and effort and reflecting the significant advancements in the logistical infrastructure of government services.
The importance of time management in government institutions
Organizing working hours during Ramadan is an important administrative tradition in the Kingdom, with government agencies taking into account the biological and social changes experienced by employees and visitors during the fasting period. This division between morning and evening shifts contributes to the continued progress of development and the uninterrupted delivery of services, while maintaining high-quality performance and speed in processing vital transactions that affect citizens' daily lives.
