Clubs, officials, and media figures mourn Al-Bishi

The Saudi sports community mourned today the passing of former Al-Nassr and Saudi national team player Abdulrahman Al-Bishi, who died at the age of 43 after a long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Former Al-Nassr president Prince Faisal bin Turki said: “O God, forgive and have mercy on Your servant Abdulrahman Al-Bishi, and make what befell him an expiation for his sins and an elevation of his status in Paradise. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.” The official Al-Nassr account stated: “With deep sorrow and grief, we extend our sincere condolences on the death of former Al-Nassr player, Captain Abdulrahman Al-Bishi. O God, have mercy on him and forgive him… and make what befell him a means of raising his rank. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.” Al-Ittihad also mourned the player in a tweet, saying: “May he rest in eternal paradise and bliss, God willing.” The president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mishal, said: “I extend my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy on the death of former international player Abdulrahman Al-Bishi – may God have mercy on him – asking God Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy and to inspire his family, relatives, and loved ones with patience and solace, and to make what befell him a means of raising his rank. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.” Veteran player Majed Abdullah offered his condolences to the player's family, saying: "May God have mercy on Abdulrahman Al-Bishi and forgive him, and may He make what pained him and what he suffered throughout his years of illness an elevation of his rank, an expiation of his sins, and a reward for him in the Gardens of Paradise. We ask God to strengthen the hearts of his family and loved ones, and to grant them patience and acceptance. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return." O God, strengthen the hearts of his family and loved ones and inspire them with patience and solace." Media personality Tariq Al-Nofal said: "May God have mercy on the virtuous star Abdulrahman Al-Bishi and forgive him. O God, make him steadfast when questioned, and make what befell him of illness an expiation and an elevation for him in the ranks of Paradise. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.".

May Allah have mercy on my brother and friend Abdulrahman Al-Bishi and make what afflicted him an expiation for his sins and a means of elevation for him in his ranks, and may He grant him a spacious place in His gardens. O Allah, strengthen the hearts of his family and loved ones and inspire them with patience and solace.” Media figure Tarek Al-Nofal said: “May Allah have mercy on the kind star Abdulrahman Al-Bishi and forgive him. O Allah, make him steadfast at the questioning, and make what afflicted him from illness an expiation and elevation for him in the ranks of Paradise. Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”
