The Cabinet congratulates on Ramadan: 19.5 million Umrah pilgrims expected in 2025

The Cabinet extended its warmest congratulations and blessings to the citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to all Muslims in the East and West, on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, asking God Almighty to make it a month of goodness, blessings and mercy for the entire Islamic nation, and to accept from everyone their fasting, prayers and good deeds.

Leading the way in serving the Two Holy Mosques

At the beginning of the session, the Council expressed its gratitude and praise to God Almighty for the honor bestowed upon this blessed land of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, including pilgrims, Umrah performers, and other visitors. The Council affirmed that this great honor is the most precious distinction bestowed upon the Kingdom, its leadership, and its people, and stressed its continued commitment to utilizing all available human, material, and technological resources to ensure the performance of the rituals with ease and tranquility.

Record numbers reflect the success of the vision

The Council reviewed performance indicators and the ongoing successes in managing the Hajj and Umrah seasons, which have culminated in unprecedented qualitative leaps. It was announced that 19.5 million pilgrims and Umrah performers from outside the Kingdom will be welcomed in 2025. This substantial figure reflects the efficiency of the operational and organizational plans developed by the relevant authorities and underscores the readiness of the advanced infrastructure in the two holy cities.

Kingdom Vision 2030 targets

These achievements are perfectly aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically through the Guests of God Service Program, which aims to transform the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage experience, facilitate the hosting of more pilgrims, and enable them to access the Two Holy Mosques with the highest standards of quality and safety. Reaching the milestone of 19.5 million international visitors is a strong indicator of progress towards achieving the Vision's strategic goal of hosting 30 million Umrah pilgrims by 2030.

Development of the religious and logistical services system

The Council commended the rapid development of the services provided, from streamlining electronic visa procedures and upgrading airports and the Haramain High-Speed Railway to offering smart digital services within the Holy Sites. This integration between the public and private sectors reflects the wise leadership's commitment to providing the utmost comfort for pilgrims, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as the heart of the Islamic world and a premier spiritual destination for Muslims.

The Council concluded its statement by praying that God would perpetuate the Kingdom’s security, stability and prosperity, and that He would grant everyone success in making the most of the days and nights of the holy month in acts of worship and good deeds.
