His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, sent a cable of condolences to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, on the death of the late Sheikh Fadel Khaled Jaber Al-Fadhel Al-Sabah. This message reflects the deep fraternal ties that bind the two leaderships and the two brotherly peoples.

The telegram sent by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia included words expressing deep sorrow and sincere condolences. His Highness said: “We received the news of the passing of Sheikh Fadel Khaled Jaber Al-Fadhel Al-Sabah – may God have mercy on him – and we extend to Your Highness and the family of the deceased our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, asking Almighty God to grant him His abundant mercy and forgiveness, and to admit him to His spacious Paradise, and to protect you from all harm. He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.” These words reflect the strong bond and close ties between the ruling families of the two countries.

The depth of historical Saudi-Kuwaiti relations

Historically, Saudi-Kuwaiti relations have been an exceptional and unique model of international relations, based on deep historical roots, kinship ties, and a shared destiny that unites the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait. Time and historical events have proven the strength of these relations, established by the forefathers of the two countries' leaders, and they continue to develop and flourish under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait.

The exchange of condolences and expressions of sympathy among the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states is not merely a diplomatic protocol, but a true reflection of a steadfast approach based on solidarity and standing together in times of both prosperity and adversity. This unity represents a fundamental pillar of regional stability and strengthens the GCC as a cohesive entity capable of confronting regional and international challenges.

Strengthening fraternal ties and a shared future

Regionally, the ongoing coordination and communication between Riyadh and Kuwait is consistently viewed as a stabilizing force in the Middle East. The unwavering solidarity between the two leaderships on various occasions, both joyous and sorrowful, sends a reassuring message to the people of the region that the fraternal bonds of the Gulf remain a bulwark of unity. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to reaffirm its leading and fraternal role towards its sister Arab and Gulf states, embodying the highest ideals of Islamic and Arab brotherhood.

The leadership of both countries, represented by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, plays a pivotal role in propelling bilateral cooperation to broader horizons. Joint coordination councils between the two countries work to translate these fraternal relations into strategic projects and partnerships that serve developmental aspirations. This convergence of visions and directions makes the social and humanitarian solidarity between the two leaderships, as demonstrated in this message, a natural extension of a comprehensive strategic partnership encompassing all fields, thus benefiting both brotherly peoples.
