Pakistan's full solidarity with the Kingdom
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince began his communications by receiving a call from His Excellency Mr. Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The discussion focused on the dangerous developments of the current situation and the repercussions of the military escalation on regional peace and security. The Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his country's unwavering support for the Kingdom, affirming Islamabad's solidarity with Riyadh in all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability. Sharif also emphasized his country's condemnation of the brutal Iranian attacks against the Kingdom, noting that these actions undermine efforts to achieve stability in the region.
Egypt affirms: The Kingdom's security is a red line
In a related context, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince received a telephone call from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the call, they reviewed the latest developments in the region, with the Egyptian President affirming Egypt's full solidarity, both government and people, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. President al-Sisi emphasized his country's absolute support for all Saudi measures aimed at protecting its national security and sovereignty against Iranian aggression, considering the Kingdom's security an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security, and that regional stability requires an immediate cessation of these transgressions.
Discussions on military escalation with the Lebanese side
The political consultations also included a phone call received by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince from the Prime Minister of Lebanon, during which they discussed the alarming developments in light of the military escalation in the region. Both sides addressed the seriousness of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom and other brotherly nations, and the necessity of concerted efforts to spare the region the ravages of open conflict.
The importance of regional coordination in dealing with crises
These contacts come at a highly sensitive time, as the region witnesses geopolitical shifts that necessitate the highest levels of coordination and consultation among leaders. This broad solidarity from brotherly and friendly nations reflects the political and strategic weight of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a cornerstone of stability in the Middle East and the Islamic world. These international stances underscore the categorical rejection of any infringement upon the Kingdom's sovereignty, emphasizing that the threats facing Riyadh do not affect it alone, but rather the entire regional security system. This necessitates a firm international position to deter the sources of threat and ensure the safety of vital waterways and the stability of global energy markets.
