The Crown Prince receives the Crown Prince of Bahrain in Diriyah to discuss cooperation

In a scene embodying the deep-rooted fraternal ties, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in Diriyah today. This meeting reaffirms the strength of Saudi-Bahraini relations, which serve as a model for relations between nations. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the long-standing historical ties between their brotherly countries, explored promising opportunities for bilateral cooperation across various fields, and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
Historical and strategic dimensions of bilateral relations
This visit holds particular significance as it takes place in Diriyah, the historical capital of the first Saudi state, lending it a symbolic dimension that reflects the deep-rooted history and shared heritage that unites the two ruling families and their brotherly peoples. Saudi-Bahraini relations span decades, consistently characterized by a shared destiny and close coordination in confronting regional and international challenges. Through the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, the two leaderships continuously work to advance economic, political, and security cooperation, thereby fulfilling the aspirations of both nations for prosperity and sustainable development.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 aligns with the Kingdom of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, opening up broad horizons for economic and investment integration. The presence of ministers from key sovereign and economic portfolios (energy, finance, interior, and foreign affairs) at this meeting reflects the strong desire of both sides to transform fraternal relations into tangible strategic partnerships that benefit both economies and strengthen the Gulf Cooperation Council's joint action framework, particularly in the areas of energy security, trade, and security stability.

From the Saudi side, attendees included His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region; and His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
