Crown Prince receives Erdogan in Riyadh to discuss relations and regional developments

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received this evening at the Royal Court in Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, in a high-level meeting that reflects the strength of the growing relations between the two brotherly countries.
The official reception ceremony was held for His Excellency the Turkish President, during which the national anthems of the two countries were played, before His Highness the Crown Prince and His Excellency the Turkish President held an expanded official meeting to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation at various levels.
Strategic dimensions and important timing
This visit comes at a critical juncture for the Middle East, a region witnessing rapid developments and escalating regional tensions, necessitating close coordination among major regional powers. Political circles view the meeting between the Saudi and Turkish leaderships as a cornerstone for achieving stability in the region, given the significant political and economic influence both countries wield on the Islamic and international stages.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince welcomed the Kingdom’s guest, stressing the depth of the historical and fraternal ties, while President Erdogan expressed his happiness at visiting the Kingdom and meeting His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, praising the leading role that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays in various issues.
Strengthening economic and defense cooperation
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the prospects for bilateral relations and the promising opportunities for their development, particularly in the energy, investment, defense industries, and tourism sectors, in a way that serves the interests of both nations and achieves the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and Turkey's development plans. They also discussed regional and global developments and the efforts being made to ensure international peace and security.

The large ministerial presence from both sides reflected the comprehensiveness of the talks and the diversity of their topics. From the Saudi side, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sports, His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture were present.
Also participating in the talks were Minister of State, Cabinet Member and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Finance Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Investment Eng.
