The award: A history of motivation and keeping pace with the vision

The Makkah Excellence Award derives its strategic importance from being more than just a fleeting recognition; it is a national platform launched in 2008 under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal to instill a culture of excellence. The award aims to create a healthy competitive environment among government and private sectors, as well as individuals, thereby contributing to raising the level of performance and the quality of services provided to citizens, residents, pilgrims, and Umrah performers.

The quality of the winning projects in the 17th cycle clearly aligns with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The awards covered aspects of "quality of life" through recreational and urban development projects, the "Guests of God Service Program" through the Hajj awards, and "environmental sustainability." Throughout its history, the award has received over 5,300 submissions, creating a vast repository of successful practices that have contributed to driving development in the region and have made Makkah a model of institutional and individual excellence.
