The Arab Republic of Egypt affirmed its close and continuous monitoring of developments in the sisterly Republic of Yemen, expressing its full support for all efforts aimed at achieving stability and security in this pivotal Arab country. In this context, Cairo highly commended the constructive and central role played by both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their tireless pursuit of a comprehensive political solution that will end the suffering of the Yemeni people.

This role has been demonstrated by the provision of financial support packages to the Central Bank of Yemen to bolster the local currency, in addition to massive humanitarian aid through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the Emirates Red Crescent, which has helped alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis that the United Nations has described as the worst in the world.
