The Egyptian president departs Jeddah, with the Crown Prince at the forefront of those bidding him farewell

His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, left Jeddah on Monday evening, after a fraternal visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during which he met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
At the forefront of those bidding farewell to the Egyptian President upon his departure from King Abdulaziz International Airport was His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, in a scene reflecting the depth of the fraternal ties and the strength of the relations that bind the leaderships of the two brotherly countries. A number of senior officials were also present, and an official farewell ceremony befitting the distinguished guest took place.
A fraternal meeting and bilateral talks
President El-Sisi's departure followed a meeting with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, during which the two leaders shared breakfast together in Jeddah. The meeting addressed the close bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and ways to develop them across various fields to serve the interests of both brotherly nations. Discussions also touched upon current regional and international developments and the efforts being made to address them, with both leaders emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation.
The depth of Saudi-Egyptian relations
The exchange of visits between the leaderships of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt is of paramount strategic importance, given the political and economic weight both countries carry in the Arab region and the Middle East.
